Acres of Dreams: A visit with the curator and coffee & conversation Gatineau, Quebec, October 27, 2005 — In conjunction with the opening of the exhibition Acres of Dreams: Settling the Canadian Prairies, the Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to two events this weekend. On October 28, meet the exhibition’s Calgary-based curator, Sandra Weizman, for a guided tour of Acres of Dreams. Then, on October 30, historian Tim Foran will shed new light on the idealistic efforts to create a French-speaking Catholic society in the West between 1892 and 1916 during our Coffee and Conversation series.
