Canadian War Museum and Theatre Panache present a new musical on the Second World War – Till We Meet Again
Ottawa, Ontario, October 27, 2005 — As part of Remembrance Week activities at the Canadian War Museum (CWM), Theatre Panache of Hudson, Quebec, in association with the Canadian War Museum, presents Till We Meet Again, a new English language play about life during the Second World War. The play runs from November 2 to November 13, and includes evening and matinee performances. A detailed schedule of this professional production is listed below.
The play is a new Canadian musical about hope, courage, heroism and perseverance in the face of adversity. With nearly 30 musical numbers, Till We Meet Again authentically re-creates the weekly Second World War CBC radio variety show, "Music of the Stars".
Critics in Montreal have remarked that the show reminds us of the humanity of war in a time before smart bombs and unmanned aircraft. Rather than with sensory overload, the play engages audiences with subtle brushstrokes of music, verbatim news broadcasts and letters from soldiers and those they left behind.
This series of performances will conclude the company’s 2005 Canadian Tour, which began in October in Montreal (DB Clarke Theatre), and travelled to Ontario for performances in St. Catherines, Kitchener, Oakville, Brampton, Markham and Guelph.
