A Jazzy Afternoon at the Canadian Museum of Civilization Gatineau, Quebec, December 12, 2005 — On December 18 and 30, the Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to a unique Jazzy Afternoon at the Museum with jazz singer Karen Oxorn. This local artist with a deep, rich voice, will warm you up to the season as she performs songs made popular by great artists of the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Diana Krall and Billie Holiday, to name a few.
Since 2002, Karen Oxorn has performed each year at the Ottawa International Jazz Festival. Other venues include local clubs, private and corporate engagements, including the 10th Annual Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce Business Achievements Awards Gala, and the Centrepointe Theatre. She is accompanied by two accomplished local musicians, Mike Rud on guitar and Martin Newman on double-bass. Come enjoy these great performers for a jazzy afternoon at the Museum.
