Learn the Ins and Outs of Woodturning

Gatineau, Quebec, December 20, 2005 – In conjunction with the Saidye Bronfman Award 2005, the Canadian Museum of Civilization invites you to a demonstration of a fascinating art form, woodturning. Local woodturner Paul Matteau will demonstrate basic turning techniques, which can transform a piece of wood, such as maple, into a functional and artistic piece. Mr. Matteau, who has been turning wood for about four years, is Vice-President of the Merrickville Artists’ Guild and President of the Valley Woodturners of Ottawa.
