Satisfaction Guaranteed: The Mail Order Catalogue in Canada
This is a unique exhibition on the history of the mail-order catalogue in Canada from the 1880s to the 1950s. The mail-order catalogue was a chapter in the history of mass consumption in Canada. The success of mail-order throughout Canada was dependent on an efficient postal service and on the ability of the catalogue to appeal to the needs, dreams and aspirations of each member of the rural market.

113 artefacts such as catalogues, radios, household appliances, clothing and toys; 14 showcases (1m x 1m); 3 audio productions; a number of adapted showcases equipped with drawers containing catalogues to allow visitors to have a close view of the artifacts.

Fee: No loan fee Borrower responsible for shipping costs
Borrower to provide: wall-to-wall insurance; one technician to help CMC preparator for the installation (4 days) and dismantling (3 days) and a curator for condition reporting.
