In support of the IMAX film Mystery of the Maya, which was co-produced by the Canadian Museum of Civilization, a replica of a Mayan pyramid was erected on the Museum's plaza. Inside the pyramid, a small exhibition related to the film features a reproduction of the Priest-king Pacal's sarcophagus, a model of a Maya settlement, and audio-visual presentations.
