Niagara Waterfalls

Récollet priest Jean-Louis Hennepin is presumed to be the first European explorer to have seen and described the great falls at Niagara.

In his book entitled Nouvelle découverte d'un très grand pays, situé en Amérique... published in 1697, he writes that the river divides into two waterfalls, each of which is about 200 meters high.
