Viewing images without the MrSID plug-in

Netscape for Windows

These instructions apply to Netscape 4.5-4.7. Earlier versions of Netscape may work differently. Note that versions 6 and 7 of Netscape are not supported in this release.

We suggest that you print these instructions for reference during the download process.

• Click on the Download MrSID Plug-in button above.
• Save the MrSIDBrowserPlug-in on your computer (make sure you know where it is stored).
• Use Run on your Start menu to run the MrSIDBrowserPlug-in.exe file OR use Windows Explorer to double click on MrSIDBrowserPlug-in.exe.
• Follow instructions to finish the installation.
• Once the main plug-in installation is finished, the Netscape version will be installed. Click "OK" in the Information box, then click "Grant" in the message box to complete the installation of the Netscape version.
• The installation process will have opened a second Netscape browser window. Close that window to return to Canadian Mail Order Catalogues.
• If this does not work, try closing and re-starting Netscape to activate MrSID.

Netscape for Mac

These instructions apply to Netscape 4.5-4.7. Earlier versions of Netscape may work differently. Note that versions 6 and 7 of Netscape are not supported in this release.

• Click on the Download MrSID Plug-in button above.
• Save the MrSIDBrowserPlug-in_mac.sea file on your computer (make sure you know where it is stored).
• Open using Stuffit Expander.
• Quit Netscape then double-click the MrSID Plug-in install file and follow instructions.
• Once the installation is complete, re-start Netscape to activate MrSID.
• If this does not work, try re-starting your computer.

Internet Explorer for Windows

These instructions apply to Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher. Earlier versions of IE are not supported.

• The MrSID message box will pop up the first time you select a catalogue page from your search results, or the first time you select a catalogue from the Browse by Date or Browse by Company screens.
• Click "Yes" to automatically install the MrSID plug-in.
• If you click "No", the page image will not display. To see the image click the "View without MrSID plug-in" link.
• If you have chosen not to download the plug-in, the MrSID message box will pop up each time you select a new catalogue page for viewing.

Internet Explorer for Mac

These instructions apply to Internet Explorer 5 and higher. Earlier versions of IE are not supported.

Viewing images without the MrSID plug-in

This option allows access to the images without the need for the plug-in, but provides only basic functionality:

	zoom in	Click to zoom in on the image.
	zoom out	Click to zoom out of the image.
	left	Click to move left of the present image.
	right	Click to move right of the present image.
	up	Click to move up from the present image.
	down	Click to move down from the present image.
	re-centre image	Click to return to the centre of the present image.
