Ms. Violette will delve into several themes, including early hospitals, the Augustines' knowledge of the pharmaceutical profession, the impact of Catholic values on nursing care, whereby nurses cared for both body and soul, and healthcare as a social welfare institution, which provided for the sick and gave aid to the poor.
