How to Hire Foreign Workers Seminar (updated: October 23, 2006)
(presented by Alberta Economic Development with guest speakers from ServiceCanada, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Alberta Human Resources and Employment, and Alberta Advanced Education)

Some employers have responded to the current labour shortage by hiring temporary foreign workers. The process, however, can be expensive, time consuming and detailed. To help determine if hiring a foreign worker is right for your organization, a special one-day seminar called How to Hire Foreign Workers is being held in six regions across Alberta. The 2007 Alberta wage and salary survey is currently underway!

Alberta's biennial survey provides wage, salary and skill shortage information by occupation, industry and geographical area. To review the 2005 results, please click here to visit the WAGEInfo section of the Alberta Learning Information Service (ALIS) website.
