Three-Millionth Visitor to the Canada Aviation Museum
Ottawa—On Wednesday, October 19, the Canada Aviation Museum welcomed its three-millionth visitor, Mr. Ivan Mains, a World War II Veteran and former member of the RCAF, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Mabel Mains. For more than 17 years, visitors from all over the world crossed the Museum’s doors. It is with pride that Mr. Anthony Smyth, Director General at the Museum, welcomed this Alberta resident into this monument of history.
As a memento of this special day Mr. Mains received a one year membership to the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation which included free admission to the Canada Aviation Museum, Canada Agriculture Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology. Mr. Mains and his wife were then taken on a private guided tour of the new Storage Wing not yet opened to the public.
The Canada Aviation Museum is proud to be one of the finest aviation museums in the world. Hours of the Museum are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is free.
