SUMMER DAY CAMPS 2006
at the Canada Agriculture Museum

Where Knowledge Grows !

Come join our knowledgeable staff this summer for four unique and enriching day camp experiences!

Our dynamic team is composed of mature, experienced counsellors with backgrounds in education, natural sciences or agriculture.

Counsellor to child ratio is a minimum of 1:8 in all camps.
One snack and a juice are provided daily.

Kinder Farm Camp   Full!
For ages 4 and 5 (half days)
In a working farm setting, children will see all those farm animals they’ve only heard about in nursery rhymes and stories. Through music, crafts, co-operative games, a wagon ride and ice cream making, kindercampers explore every nook and cranny of the Museum’s barns, exhibitions, and gardens.

Fun at the Farm Camp   Full!
For ages 6 to 8
Kids will discover what makes farming fun. From their own garden, they will harvest ingredients for their snack. They’ll learn what it means to care for animals as they “adopt” a cow for the week. Nature studies, crafts, games, and more will fill your child’s days with fresh air and fun.

City Farm Camp   Full!
For ages 9 to 11
Who doesn't love cute and furry rabbits? City Farm Campers have the chance to get hands on experience with our camp rabbits as they brush, feed and clean them. But that’s not all! They feed the sheep, tend their own garden, and grind wheat for bread. On the lighter side, campers make ice cream, learn how to weave and play water games.

Junior Farmer Camp   Full!
For ages 12 to 14
Perfect for farmers at heart who live in the city. Here’s a chance for youths to take part in a real, working farm! They will adopt, feed and groom a calf, muck out the stalls, and learn about farm tractors and haying in this educational two-week camp.
