The Macdonald contingent in the Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue Christmas Parade. (N. Lavigne)

The Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition are located on McGill University's Macdonald Campus, which occupies 650 hectares in a beautiful waterfront setting on the western tip of the island of Montreal.

Students can earn internationally recognized degrees at the undergraduate and graduate level in the fields of natural sciences, environment, agriculture, food, applied economics, and engineering. Students benefit from small classes and have the opportunity, in all programs, for study abroad in places like Panama, Barbados or Africa.

  • Christmas and New Year's | Dec 25 → Jan  2 Administrative offices and libraries will be closed between December 23 and January 2 inclusive.
  • 47th Annual Woodsmen Competition | Jan 27, 8 AM → 4 PM Come cheer on approximately 200 competitors from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Maine and New York as they compete in 14 events including sawing, chopping, pole climbing, log-rolling, snowshoeing, axe throwing and water boiling. Spectators are welcome!
  • McGill University Open House 2007 | Jan 28, 11 AM → 4 PM Come learn more about what McGill has to offer, inside and outside the classroom.
  • McGill Town Hall - Macdonald Campus | Mar  9, 1 PM → 2:30 PM Hosted by Principal Heather Munroe-Blum. An opportunity to meet with the Principal and discuss issues of relevance to the McGill community. Brief remarks followed by a question and answer period.
  • Easter (statutory holiday) | Apr  6 No classes or exams. Administrative offices closed. Library hours to be announced.
