Agreement in Principle Between the SCRC and CBC/Radio-Canada

The Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (SCRC) and CBC/Radio-Canada management are pleased to announce the signing of an agreement in principle for renewing the collective agreement with the SCRC’s 1,500 members.

The SCRC bargaining committee will recommend the agreement’s terms of settlement to union members as early as Saturday. No further details can be disclosed at this time, however, since this disclosure is a union prerogative.

The parties are very satisfied with the way the bargaining process was conducted and concluded. Discussions were held in an atmosphere of mutual respect, driven by a strong commitment on both sides to reaching a negotiated settlement.

We would also like to highlight the key contribution of the union and management committees, as well as the decisive role played by conciliator Jacques Lessard.
