News ReleasesApril 1st, 2006 SCRC Members Accept Agreement in PrincipleCBC/Radio-Canada is pleased to learn that the members of the Syndicat des communications de Radio-Canada (SCRC) have endorsed the agreement in principle reached between the union and management. At a special meeting on Saturday, 88% of SCRC members voted to accept the terms of settlement in the agreement signed this week by their representatives and the management bargaining team. The deal was reached before the collective agreement expired and will be effective for three years. CBC/Radio-Canada management is happy with the way bargaining was conducted and its outcome, highlighting the atmosphere of mutual respect that prevailed throughout the process. Management is also delighted with the possibilities this agreement affords us to tackle external challenges and lay a new foundation for working in partnership with the SCRC.
