  • One for all: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization
Canada has been a member of NATO since it was formed in 1949. Over the years, NATO has faced many issues, and it has changed in response to them. Canada, too, has had to make decisions about its role and participation in NATO. In these activities, students will have the opportunity to conduct research about alliances and Canada’s role in NATO, formulate opinions on Canada’s response to moral dilemmas within NATO, analyze the extent to which Canada has honoured its commitments to NATO, research the impact of NATO’s changing role, and create a board game based on Canada’s participation in the alliance.
