Creation of Nunavut Students will investigate various elements of the new territory of Nunavut -- its climate and weather patterns, the land claims of the Dene and the Inuit, the challenges faced by a new territory and cities of growing importance, the issues of mapping a new city, and the traditions, conventions, and language involved in assigning place names.
