  • Striking Oil in Alberta
This site shows how the development of industry can change the lifestyle of an entire province. Activities will allow students to learn about the industry, about the social and economic changes in the second half of the 20th century in Alberta, and about the tensions, local and national, which grew with the industry. Students will also investigate the future of the industry and its impact on Alberta and on Canada.
