  • Candu: The Canadian Nuclear Reactor
The Candu nuclear reactor was at the forefront of energy technology. However, the ability to use the byproducts of its reactions for military purposes has changed the world’s view of the appropriateness of nuclear energy. In these activities, students will examine and detail the steps in producing nuclear energy, investigate facts about nuclear power, create a sales pitch highlighting the benefits of nuclear technology, and examine the issues around the use of nuclear power.
