  • Georges Erasmus: Native Rights Crusader
This site profiles native leader Georges Erasmus and his continuing fight for Aboriginal rights. In these activities, students will explore issues facing Canada’s Aboriginal peoples, create a collage outlining the changes they believe are needed to change the future for Aboriginal peoples, discuss and suggest proposals for resolving the issue of Aboriginal self-government, investigate the idea of violent protest as a vehicle for social change, and compare and contrast two or more First Nations’ work toward self-government.
