The CBC Archives Website showcases Canada's history since the 1930s to the present through over 150 topics from WWII to Trudeaumania to Terry Fox. Teachers can download hundreds of educational activities to enable them to use the site as a classroom tool. Clips and educational materials are provided free of charge.
The Canada: A People's History Website is a companion the award-winning TV series. From the earliest migrations of settlers to the New World through the Free Trade Agreement, the website traces life in the territory that would eventually become Canada. Extensive educational material can be downloaded free of charge.
CBC Radio Licensing offers a catalogue of more than 200 CBC Radio programs on audiocassette and CD, as well as over 60 years of radio archived material, which can be licensed for custom curriculum packages. Programming is suitable for junior high, secondary and post-secondary students and educators, including those teaching ESL. The website includes complete catalogues and licensing information.
