Great Interviews
Broadcast Oct. 5, 2004

Twenty years later

In a downtown Vancouver hotel, Marc Garneau reminisces with CBC's Shelagh Rogers about his historic trip that was literally out of this world. Time has changed his hair from black to white, but as he listens to an old CBC report recounting his journey to space, Garneau still sounds awestruck by the experience. As the president of the Canadian Space Agency, Garneau remains as passionate about space as he did when he became the first Canadian in space 20 years ago.
