The Hall is a monumental space flooded with natural light and echoing ambient sound. The architecture encourages the expansion of our attention beyond the art to the surrounding space.

A massive luminous mural, Wall Drawing No. 623 , by conceptual artist Sol LeWitt, surges upward in triangular forms. Inspired by the Italian fresco mural tradition, red, yellow, and blue inks, with black, are applied in successive washes by LeWitt's assistants, according to his design. For LeWitt, the idea becomes a machine that makes the art.

From the corridor, we hear Wire Tap by Les Levine, a series of speakers playing phone calls covertly recorded in 1970. Listen, as the artist confirms royalties, approves press coverage, and makes social plans with friends, leaving us with an oral self-portrait.

On display, steel sculptures by Liliana Berezowsky resemble industrial products like missiles or motors. They appear to be both threatening and protective.
