Classical music is becoming more and more popular. But with the thousands of classical CDs that are released every month, how do you make any sense of it all? Which ones do you buy?

Sound Advice is the weekly guide to the world of classical music and recordings.

Rick Phillips makes classical music selection easier for both longtime classical devotees and new fans of all ages. This program takes the latest classical releases and offers musical comparisons to other recordings still available. There are also hints on how to listen critically, how to appreciate music more, what to listen for and a host of other topics.
There's also a “Library” segment every week, where Rick looks at how to build a classical music library, or offers brief surveys of some of the great performers from disc, or explanations and musical examples of some of the basic forms in classical music.
And there's the popular Sound Advice “Music Quiz” to close the show every week.
