  • Fair Game: Pioneering Canadian women in sports
Through the contributions of many courageous and determined women early in the century, Canadian women are now free to participate in and enjoy all sports. In these activities, students will explore the history of women in Canadian sports, create a radio spot highlighting the success of Canadian women in professional hockey, write a journal entry in role as swimmer Marilyn Bell, analyze major milestones and accomplishments for female athletes in Canada, and examine and write a letter sharing their opinion about federal funding of sports in Canada.
