Welcome to
The Fisheries Broadcast

Tune in every weekday afternoon across Newfoundland and Labrador for the Fisheries Broadcast.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary on March, 2001, The Fisheries Broadcast ranks among the oldest continuously running daily programs in North America.

Since going on the air in 1951, "The Broadcast," as it is affectionately known, has been dedicated to covering stories about the fishing industry, reflecting the people and the communities that depend on the sea for their livelihood.

"The Broadcast" also provides basic survival information to fish harvesters, such as marine weather forecasts, meeting announcements and the opening and closing times of the various fisheries.

For more than half a century The Fisheries Broadcast has been considered a trusted and essential communications service.
