Welcome to Labrador Morning
Along with their morning coffee, people all across Labrador kick-start their day by tuning in to the CBC to hear Labrador Morning. Hosted by Don Lockhart and Cindy Wall, the program keeps people informed about what's happening around them. Whether it's the local weather forecast, a news update or commentary on events around the world, Labradorians hear about it first on Labrador Morning. The show covers aboriginal affairs, mining stories and the fishery with reporters in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Labrador City. The Labrador Morning team has many columnists who are devoted to covering Labrador culture. On Wednesdays, reporter Paul Piggott hosts a segment called “Labrador Word of the Week,” which provides a window to the different cultures and languages that co-exist in Labrador. In Labrador City and Wabush, Mike Power is on hand to cover the stories of the people and the events that effect the largest iron mining community in the country. Listeners are also invited to join Don Lockhart once a week for “Labrador Tea,” a look at the people and places that make up Labrador’s heritage and culture. Labrador Morning Features |
