When the day winds down, Crosstown reconnects people to their communities with stories from across the city and around the country. Host Barbara Peacock and Technician - Associate Producer Dan Kennedy provide the local edge to the news and interviews on the day's top stories. The program offers the latest in news, weather, sports, business and the arts.

There are several regular columns on Crosstown:

Monday
Stephen Freygood has the latest on computer software at 4:40 p.m. CBC Radio's Technology columnist Nora Young is heard every Monday at 5:40 p.m.

Tuesday
Tuesdays at 4:20 p.m. we bring you a feature consumer story we can all use. Health stories are covered by Dr. Goldman at 4:50 p.m. Nick Purdon give us his take on the world of sports at 5:20 p.m.

Wednesday
Anne Spencer brings us Healthy Living at 4:20 p.m. and Don Genova looks at the latest trends in food at 4:45 p.m. News from the science world with "Quirks and Quarks" reporter, Pat Senson at 4:50 p.m.

Thursday
The latest stories from the business world can be heard at 4:50 and at 5:45 p.m. we have our nature columnist, Phil Roberts.

Friday
Jesse Wente reviews the latest in home entertainment at 4:50 p.m. and Eli Glassner presents Notes From The Projector Booth, his topical movie review at 5:45 p.m.
