Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue and Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis are among the 111 candidates for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2007.
Other big names eligible for election to the Hall include quarterback Randall Cunningham, running back Ricky Watters and offensive linemen Bruce Matthews and Randall McDaniel.
Four longtime owners in Bud Adams, Jerry Jones, Art Modell and Ralph Wilson are also up for induction.
The list of former players, coaches and contributors will be whittled down to 25 in November.
Tagliabue succeeded Pete Rozelle as commissioner in 1989 and held the position for 16 years. During his tenure he helped develop the NFL into a financial powerhouse. He retired earlier this year and was succeeded by Roger Goodell.
Davis was one of the best rushers of his day, eclipsing the 1,500-yard rushing plateau three times in his injury-shortened seven-year career. He helped the Broncos to Super Bowl titles in 1998 and 1999.
To be considered for Hall of Fame election, a nominated player must be retired for at least five years.
