Buffalo Sabres defenceman Henrik Tallinder has a broken arm and said Saturday he will be out up to two months.
Tallinder, who is scheduled to undergo surgery on Sunday, was injured in Buffalo's 3-0 win over the New York Islanders on Thursday night and missed his team's 5-4 shootout loss to the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday, the Sabres' first loss of the season.

It is the same arm Tallinder broke during last season's Eastern Conference final against the Carolina Hurricanes.
"It's tough," Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said. "I'm disappointed for him because he was playing real well for us, and now the same thing happened. I know how frustrating it is."
Tallinder, 27, has two goals and two assists in 10 games this season, and ranks second on the team in ice time, averaging nearly 21 minutes a game.
Rookie defenceman Nathan Paetsch, filling in for Tallinder, made his first start of the season in Saturday's loss, which halted the Sabres' record-tying 10-game winning streak.
"For his first game, and for the type of game he got thrown in, I thought he did a real nice job for us," Ruff said of Paetsch. "He's worked extremely hard in staying ready."
Paetsch made his NHL debut last season, appearing in two games, including Buffalo's loss to Carolina in Game 7 of the conference final.
