WHO WE ARE

The Newfoundland and Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE) fosters the success of women in business through our network of community based facilitators, members, clients and partnerships in the world of business. Our “women helping women” approach ensures our understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing women entrepreneurs, and enables us to provide the necessary assistance and support required to succeed in business.

Women Entrepreneurs

NLOWE plays a lead role in assisting women entrepreneurs develop and grow successful, leading edge businesses that capitalize on emerging economic development opportunities in the province. Whether the entrepreneur is focused on local markets or global opportunities, we help break down barriers to success and facilitate access to mainstream programs and services beneficial to women entrepreneurs. We raise public awareness on the important contribution women entrepreneurs are making to our province’s economy.

We encourage and cultivate business development in growth sectors such as exporting and technology through research, workshops and seminars on emerging trends and opportunities. NLOWE informs and advises members and clients of the importance, relevance and impact of these trends and offers programs and services which respond to the changing business climate.

NLOWE is governed by a board of directors and head office staff in St. John’s. A team of regional facilitators strategically positioned throughout the province deliver and implement our programs and services to members and clients.

NLOWE is grateful for the support of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada .
