A Canadian soldier was wounded Monday in a mortar attack in southern Afghanistan, the third such attack in the past 36 hours in the region.
The unidentified Canadian soldier and an Afghan Security Force soldier were airlifted to Kandahar Air Field Monday afternoon, the CBC's Carolyn Dunn reported.
Their injuries are said to be relatively minor.
A second attack early Monday morning caused no injuries. But on Sunday, one Canadian and six Afghan security officers were injured by mortars.
That Canadian soldier, who has not yet been identified, is being transferred to a German hospital for further treatment.
On Saturday, Canadians shot and killed an Afghan National Police officer and injured six others in an incident that is under investigation.
There is anger and resentment in the area toward Canadian troops over those shootings.
