Minnesota 2, Los Angeles 1

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Marian Gaborik scored the game-winning goal just 25 seconds into overtime as Minnesota remained perfect on the season with a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles.

With overtime just underway, the Kings had the puck in Minnesota's zone, but Gaborik stole the puck away from Sean Avery and sent a pass out to Pavol Demitra, setting up a 2-on-1 break.

Demitra skated the puck into LA's zone before sending the puck off Gaborik's skate and past Dan Cloutier to give the Wild a franchise-best six game winning streak.

Manny Fernandez made 34 saves for Minnesota, while Brian Rolston scored the 1,000th goal in franchise history in the first period.

Patrick O' Sullivan scored his first NHL goal for the Kings, who have dropped four straight games. Cloutier finished with 25 saves.

Minnesota drew first blood with 9:51 left in the first period as Rolston tallied his fifth goal of the season.

Brent Burns fired a shot from the point that Cloutier blocked into the slot. With a mess of players in front of the net, Mikko Koivu pushed the puck to Rolston and he stuffed it past Cloutier for the goal.

The Kings managed to even the score with 1:34 left in the opening period as O' Sullivan picked up his first NHL goal. Lubomir Visnovsky fired a shot from the point that O' Sullivan got a stick on to re-direct past Fernandez.
