New Survey
Statistics Canada conducted the second edition of the Aboriginal Peoples Survey (2001). Data has been released in September 2003.
Summary
Topics included in these files are:
- data by aboriginal group (i.e., North American Indian, Métis and Inuit);
- data for aboriginal persons living both on and off Indian reserves and settlements;
- data about aboriginal people which describe the demographic breakdown, household, labour force, employment, education, disability, housing conditions and participation in traditional activities.
Survey results
Survey results are available in the following formats: custom tabulations, publications and microdata files. Electronic statistical community profiles are also available.
