Canada Immigrant Investor Program: An Investment in the Future

The Immigrant Investor Program allows immigrants to gain permanent residence in Canada by making a five-year investment of CAN $400,000 in the Canadian economy. The investment is government guaranteed and will be repaid in full, without interest, at the end of that period. The provinces and territories of Canada use the capital to develop their economies and create jobs. These provinces/territories also offer many services to assist the immigrant investor in business life and in settling into Canada. This brochure replaces "Applying as a Business Class Immigrant", "Business Immigrant Program Overview" and "Do I qualify as a Business Immigrant". It contains a list of the provincial/territorial governments which provide services to immigrant investors. NOTE: There is a separate Immigrant Investor Program for Quebec and this publication does not cover the Quebec program.
