Regional Profile of the Eastern Shore - June 1998
|
Abstract |
|
This document consists of two major parts: the community profile and the business infrastructure sections. The Community profile talks about the geographic boundaries, the population and it's characteristics, government services, and the many other aspects that make up a community including churches, community groups, education, library services and tourist attractions.
The Business Infrastructure section describes the types of services available to businesses. This booklet discusses transportation, communication, freight services, business supplies and services. There is also an overview of the types of businesses along the Eastern Shore and the labour force in each industry.
This information is intended to identify the gaps in the present infrastructure. The gap analysis may be utilized to lobby government and major corporations to fill these gaps. It can also provide information to government for decision making and promotions.
