This guide helps businesses understand and meet their obligations under Part 1 of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. The Act sets out ground rules for the management of personal information in the private sector. NOTE: Part 1 of the Act does not cover the use of electronic documents and signatures as legal alternatives to original documents and signatures.
