With Between the Covers, fiction has never sounded better. CBC Radio's book-program is single-voice storytelling at its finest.

The program features short stories and novels read by Canada's most celebrated performers in 12-minute installments.

Between the Covers reflects the spirit of the country, with a wide range of voices and locales. While most of the fiction is contemporary and Canadian, foreign authors are represented occasionally.

The books are by both Canada's most respected authors and up-and-coming writers. Novels and collections selected for Between the Covers have gone on to win major Canadian and international prizes.
