Studio Sparks presents great concert music, recorded across Canada and around the world, to music lovers across the country. Live from a storefront studio on Sparks Street in Ottawa, and hosted by Eric Friesen, Studio Sparks is the ideal afternoon companion, providing music to stimulate and surprise, sooth and seduce, with conversation and features to match. Eric Friesen's friendly presence, and wealth of knowledge and experience animates the program and connects to listeners in their day. The program draws on the whole world of classical music, along with great jazz, world, acoustic, and other styles. At regular intervals, Eric welcomes a live audience into Ottawa's new Studio 40, for chamber concerts or music interviews.
