Two high-profile Democrats - Harpers editor Lewis Lapham and Professor Todd Gitlin - debate the idea of impeaching President George Bush this morning on The Current. One says it's time to boot him out at all costs, and the other says the Democrats shouldn't waste their time and effort on the exercise. Also, remarkable new information about the 1986 Reykjavik nuclear disarmament summit which ended in failure. New transcripts of conversations between Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan demonstrate how frustratingly close the two men came to ridding the world of nuclear weapons. That's on The Current, with Anna Maria Tremonti, this morning at 8:30 (9:00 NT) on CBC Radio One.
