Energy Training Program for Students

The Energy Training Program for Students is an example of the government's commitment to the continued development of human resources in the province. This program was developed to encourage private sector employers to hire Nova Scotia post-secondary students for career-related work terms in all sectors of the energy industry.

Employers benefit by gaining access to students and recent graduates in a wide range of disciplines from universities and community college campuses in Nova Scotia. Students are provided with an opportunity to gain valuable skills and work experience that will enable them to become part of a highly skilled energy sector workforce.

The Program consists of two main components, a Training Program and a Travel Program.
