Multilateral Programs Branch
The objective of Multilateral Programs Branch is to strengthen the ability and effectiveness of multilateral organizations to reduce poverty and, in particular, to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in health, education, gender equality and environmental sustainability.
Multilateral programs provide economies of scale and of scope, allowing individuals donors - like Canada - to help many more countries than they could effectively help on their own. They include:
