Get involved and make a difference by taking part in CIDA’s youth programs. From contests to internships, this section provides you with opportunities to Move your world… because you can!

butterfly 208 challenges Canadian youth to learn about global issues and express their vision for a better world.

Important news: The butterfly 208 contest is on hold this year to give us an opportunity to develop a new and even more exciting program. In the meantime, please visit the butterfly 208 site often for new ways to get involved in international development, new classroom activities and a very special upcoming feature on last year’s winners trip to Kenya.

The Youth Speakers Program provides you with an opportunity to showcase your presentation skills, share your own international experiences, and inspire young Canadians to make a difference in the world. Volunteer as a Youth Speaker today!

The International Youth Internship Program gives young Canadian post-secondary graduates, ages 19-30, the opportunity to apply their knowledge, gain international work experience and develop employability skills by being placed for at least six months with Canadian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and host organizations in developing countries.
