AIDS Picture Change Exhibit/presentation
This exhibit is a multimedia project that aims to generate greater Canadian support in the fight against HIV/AIDS. In the spring of 2005, eight of Canada's best photographers travelled to Kenya, Ethiopia, India, Cambodia, and Mozambique, returning with images documenting the global struggle against HIV/AIDS.

Canadian Association of African Studies: Health, Poverty, and Development Conference
Health Poverty and Development Conference at Concordia poses issues of fundamental challenge such as health, poverty, and development to African citizens, scholars, and policy-makers. Papers are that reflect a wide range of approaches to these issues, from historical to current perspectives, and from all related disciplines are sought.

UN Commission on Sustainable Development Youth Caucus

Scheduled for 1to 12 May 2006, the 14th session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD14) will take place in New York. Governments, civil society leaders and youth will review global progress around pertinent issues of sustainable development. If you are interested in participating in the CSD Youth Caucus contact the youth caucus coordinators.

World Urban Forum: Bringing Global Youth Leaders Together

The World Urban Forum, which takes place from June 16-18 2006, is an international meeting on urban issues that affect more than 7.5 billion people throughout the world. This is an opportunity for young people to showcase successful youth-led and youth-driven projects and programs. The Youth Jam which takes place during the World Urban Forum.

International Earth Village Festival

International Earth Village Festival is the official arts and culture festival of the United Nations’ World Urban Forum. From June 19-25, 2006 artist/activists and youth from Canada and abroad will provide a rich and varied program of performances, exhibitions, workshops, dialogues, food, “Green Stream” activities, a Resource Fair.

The World Peace Forum

The World Peace forum is an international gathering of individuals, groups, and civic governments from cities and communities who envision a living culture of peace and sustainability in our lifetimes. The program that will be held in British Columbia from June 23- 28, 2006 will feature large plenary sessions with prominent world thinkers, cultural performances, thematic and regional seminars, and numerous workshops and discussions.

International Association for National Youth Service

The eighth global IANYS conference in Montréal will be held from June 23-27, 2006. With the theme of “Youth and civic service: Creating a global framework for developing national youth service policies” participants will be give the opportunity to share the most recent reports and research from their countries.

iEARN Netherlands 2006 "Learning in a World of Difference"

Every year one of the countries active in the International Educational and Resources Network (iEARN) hosts the annual World Conference and Youth summit that attracts teachers, students, field experts and govermental repersenatives. iEARN-Netherlands will organize this year’s World Conference and Youth Summit from July 3 until July 7 2006.

World Youth Peace Summit

The World Youth Peace Summit (WYPS) will be held in Amman, Jordan from September 11-15th. As the first multi-sectoral youth platform for peace the WYPS is bringing together young leaders from government, business, entertainment, education, law, medicine, science, religion, the arts, technology, sports, media, agriculture, non-governmental organisations and youth organisations.

XVI International AIDS Conference Youth Programme

The 2006 International Aids Conferences (IAC) theme” Time to Deliver” will focus on the promises and progresses made to scale up HIV/AIDS treatment care and prevention. The Youth Programme will be held in Toronto from August 13- 18, 2006 and help ensure the visibility of youth throughout the conference, throughout the Cultural Programme and the Global Village.

Third Global Youth Employment Summit

The 3rd Global Youth Summit of the Youth Employment Summit (YES) program will officially co-hosted by the Government of Kenya and the YES Campaign. This summit will have an increased focus on livelihood generation through market expansion, but will also provide an opportune moment for developing strategies to address critical livelihood issues particularly in Africa.
