Canadian Partnership Programs

CIDA’s Canadian Partnership Branch (CPB) contributes to international cooperation initiatives designed and delivered by Canadian private- and voluntary-sector organizations, including non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, professional memberships and associations, cooperatives, youth organizations, and companies.

Canadian Partnership Programs focuse primarily on supporting north-south partnerships, to promote capacity-building of local civil society and private sector entities that can then work locally to attain poverty reduction and sustainable development. Canadian partners funded by CPB also play an important role in terms of public engagement of Canadians at large.

Canadian Partnership Programs contribute to key CIDA development priorities:

Gender equality is systematically and explicitly integrated within each of the above development priorities.
