 Welcome to the

Financial Consumer Agency of Canada Web site

FCAC_Curl The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) is a newly created agency.

We work to protect and educate consumers in the area of financial services.

We provide consumer information and oversee financial institutions to ensure that they comply with federal consumer protection measures.

What's New

FCAC launches a new pre-paid cards guide. This booklet explains how MasterCard and Visa brand pre-paid payment cards work and what they cost.  It also provides tips on what to watch for when buying or using a pre-paid card. Pre-paid cards is the latest addition to FCAC’s Credit Cards and You information kit and interactive tool.
