Supports the mandate of the Special Mission in Haiti and its contribution to conflict resolution. The OAS Special Mission is working with the government and people of Haiti to strengthen the country's democratic institutions, specifically in the areas of security, justice, human rights, democratic development, governance, and institutional development.

As part of the support to the OAS Special Mission, CIDA is also contributing up to $500,000 via the Agence Intergouvernementale de la Francophonie.
