The Caribbean Challenge

Location: Border areas between Haiti and the Dominican Republic

The goal of the project is to strengthen civil society in the Caribbean in the building of a diverse and interdependent American Hemisphere, and more specifically in the context of the process emanating from the NAFTA. The initiative involves five countries from three linguistic groups, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago. The project will develop a special program for Haiti and support initiatives undertaken by the Plate-forme haïtienne de plaidoyer pour un développement alternatif (PADPA-Haïti).
