Canadian Personal and Business Banking provides personal and business clients across Canada with financial advice, products and services through a team in our banking centres, as well as through our direct, mobile and remote channels.

Canadian Commercial Banking and Private Wealth Management

Canadian Commercial Banking and Private Wealth Management provide high-touch, relationship-oriented banking and wealth management services to middle-market companies, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and families across Canada. We also provide asset management services to institutional investors.

We are focused on building and enhancing client relationships, being Canada’s leader in financial advice and generating long-term, consistent growth. We have 3 strategic priorities to achieve this goal:

  1. Scaling commercial banking
  2. Increasing agility and efficiency in wealth management
  3. Deepening client relationships across our bank

U.S. Commercial Banking and Private Wealth

U.S. Commercial Banking and U.S. Private Wealth provide high-touch, relationship-oriented commercial, personal and business banking, as well as wealth management services to meet the needs of middle-market companies, executives, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and families in the U.S.

Our goal is to build the go-to commercial and wealth management bank for our chosen client segments and markets with a focus on developing deep, profitable relationships leveraging the full complement of CIBC’s products and services across our North American platform. We have 3 key strategic priorities to achieve this goal:

  1. Growing organically through long-term client relationships
  2. Enhancing our U.S. platform
  3. Investing to serve our clients

Capital Markets

Capital Markets provides products and services for integrated global markets, investment banking advisory and execution, corporate banking, as well as top-ranked research to corporate, government and institutional clients around the world.

Our goal is to be the leading capital markets franchise for our core clients in Canada and the lead relationship bank for our key clients globally by delivering best-in-class insight, advice and execution. To enable CIBC’s strategy and priorities, we collaborate with our partners across our bank to deepen and enhance client relationships. We have 3 key strategic priorities to achieve this goal:

  1. Becoming the leading capital markets platform in Canada for our core clients
  2. Building a North American client platform with global capabilities
  3. Increasing connectivity across CIBC to deliver better service for clients

Our Communities

CIBC is committed to causes that matter to our clients, employees and communities. Our goal is to make a difference through corporate donations, sponsorships and the volunteer spirit of employees. In 2018, CIBC invested more than $80 million in community organizations across Canada and the U.S. through more than 2,000 charitable donations, including over $60 million in corporate contributions and nearly $20 million in employee-led fundraising and giving.
