Minister Verner to deliver remarks at UNICEF Event

Ottawa — The Honourable Josée Verner, Minister of International Cooperation and Minister for La Francophonie and Official Languages, will deliver remarks at an event designed to celebrate Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF and National UNICEF Day. Also attending the event are Nigel Fisher, President & CEO of UNICEF Canada, Ben Mulroney, UNICEF Canada National Ambassador and children who participated in the UNICEF campaign, dressed up in Halloween costumes.
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has collaborated with UNICEF on programmes worldwide. As a result of this partnership, children in many developing countries now have access to education and better health care.
Media representatives are invited to attend.
